  5. ELM is an external electronic mailer program which can either be
  6. called from NOS (with the NOS 'mail' command) or directly from
  7. the DOS prompt.
  8.  
  9. ELM features a friendly menu-driven interface, and is largely
  10. self-explanatory.

  12. Before use, ELM requires a startup file (ELM.RC) to specify
  13. certain initial parameter settings.  See the MASTERS directory
  14. for an example.

  16. Also, ELM requires that certain DOS environment variables be set
  17. up before use.  See !NOSINIT and NOSENV.BAT for further
  18. information.
